Following the success of our November 2024 Medical Camp—where we provided care to over 3,000 people—we are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Taiba Foundation in Nairobi. Through this collaboration, Taiba Foundation will work with us and our local hospital to offer free surgeries for patients with cleft palate, non-cancerous tumors, and facial reconstruction needs. A team of specialized surgeons is scheduled to arrive in early February 2025, and patients have already been identified and prepared for these complex procedures. We are also in the advanced stages of establishing a partnership with Brilliant Facets to provide free eye clinics to our community and surrounding regions. This initiative will significantly expand access to critical eye care services for those who need it most. Together, these partnerships mark an important step in our mission to deliver comprehensive, life-changing healthcare to underserved communities.

Water Filters
In 2024, we distributed 1,890 water filters valued at US $189,000. As part of our follow-up and impact assessment, our team visited 76 villages within a 180 km radius, covering 1,365 homesteads to monitor the condition and usage of the filters. During these visits, we also conducted hands-on training sessions to ensure that households understood how to use and maintain the water filters safely and effectively. This effort continues to strengthen our commitment to improving access to clean and safe drinking water across our communities.

Trauma Informed High School
Our partnership with Just One Africa to build a Trauma-Informed High School in our region has received tremendous and transformative support. We are grateful to share that Just One Africa has successfully met the fundraising target of US $759,000 for Phase One of the project. This initial phase will enable the construction of a high school designed to accommodate 600 students.
This project represents the fulfillment of a vision God placed on our hearts back in 2012—to establish a school that combines exceptional academic standards with a trauma-informed environment. More than a place of learning, this high school will be a sanctuary of healing and restoration, especially for students who have endured various forms of abuse and have come under our care at the Hope Centre.
We are deeply grateful for this milestone and remain committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and academically excellent space where young people can thrive and reclaim their future.

Widows SACCO/ CO-OP
Our Widows SACCO/Co-operative project is designed to empower widows to become self-sustaining, start their own businesses, and develop a strong culture of saving. Through this initiative, widows are equipped to pool their resources and lend to one another within a cooperative structure. We have successfully supported the group in officially registering their SACCO (Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization), trained the key officials, and helped mobilize seed capital exceeding US $13,200. The SACCO is now actively registering new members, with an ambitious target of over 5,000 widows by the end of the year.
Each widow will purchase shares valued at approximately US $8, creating a sustainable internal lending system that enables members to access small loans for business ventures and daily needs.
As the founding organization, The Olive Branch Mission will continue to provide mentorship, financial literacy training, and organizational support during the formative years of the SACCO. Beyond economic empowerment, this platform also serves as a holistic support system—offering spiritual nourishment, a safe space for healing and counseling, and an opportunity for widows to uplift their voices, helping reduce the trauma and stigma associated with widowhood.
Africa Programs
Kenya has experienced heavy amounts of rain and severe flooding. To date they have lost nearly 200 people with thousands left homeless and many houses submerged and uninhabitable. Olive Branch Africa has been involved in rescue efforts all over the area.
It is a challenge for Olive Branch Africa staff to even travel to the office due to critical infrastructure damage. Airports, roads, bridges, electrical lines have all been adversely affected due to dams failing and rivers overflowing their banks. Despite the desperate conditions, Olive Branch Mission remains on the frontlines assisting those in need. Our website here.
